  6. "MusicMaker V8" Version 3.0 (MM) is a sample-based music-editor,
  7. which I wrote from 1987 until 1993. It includes a very 
  8. powerful sample-editor and a - unique! - technique for
  9. providing 8 channels on a standard Amiga, each playing
  10. on different volumes. 
  11.  
  12. Samples can be packed using Fibunacci-compression, leading
  13. to compression rates up to 50% (variable).
  14.  
  15. SDK, sources for players and a few example tunes are
  16. included.

  45. If you do not have a harddisk, you will need to copy these
  46. files to their directories in order to boot from disk 2.

  51. MM runs on any Amiga (1 MB) from OS 1.3. From OS 2.1, MM's
  52. user interface can be configured to use either English or
  53. German.
  54.  
  55. The program is not - so to speak - up-to-date, but there
  56. still are some people using it accross Europe. 
  57.  
  58. However, if you're looking for a modern 16-bit HD-recording 
  59. tool, MM will not satisfy you.

  61. How to install:
  62.  
  63. Copy the files to a floppy (or a harddisk directory).
  64. In case you want to install from HD, assign 
  65.  
  66. Install_MM: to the directory for Disk 1
  67. MMV8: to the directory for Disk 2
  68. MM_Instruments: to the directory for Disk 3
  69.  
  70. Otherwise, name the floppies accordingly.
  71.  
  72. Then use "Install" on Disk 1.
